Talespin is looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly motivated individual to join our team.  The candidate selected for this Executive Assistant position will work directly with the CEO and other senior management, providing them with high-level administrative support through organization of information and communication. Tasks are likely to include conducting research, preparing reports, attending meetings, taking notes, scheduling follow ups and handling information requests. This position requires strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills. The ability to multitask is a must.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

You’ll be instrumental in raising our “visual bar” to new heights while establishing a new set of standards, workflows, and development culture that will help push the beauty of our products to new levels!

Responsibilities:

  • Show technical proficiency in areas such as rendering optimizations, shader development, and lighting best-practices in order to produce a cohesive visual scene
  • Improve the existing art production workflow and propose or develop tools to optimize the asset creation process
  • Communicate with other artists, engineers, producers, designers, and marketing talent in order to address a variety of asset requests
  • Provide constructive feedback to other artists and graphics engineers to assist in growing the entire team’s understanding of technical art best practices

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of game development experience with Unity or Unreal with a track record of shipped games or products
  • Strong understanding of the graphics pipeline, including shader development using engine or 3rd party tools. Should be comfortable with shader properties such as refraction, blur, warp, tinting, saturation, and aberration
  • Working knowledge of industry standard 3D/2D content creation tools (Maya, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer)
  • Practical experience combining lighting (baked & realtime), reflections, post-processing FX, and emerging rendering techniques to make scenes visually compelling
  • Familiarity with character animation and tools for asset importing, rigging, animation blending, and ragdoll-style physics
  • Ability to balance hardware constraints with artistic goals. VR experience a plus
  • Familiar with versioning management systems (Perforce, Git, etc.) and game engine collaboration best-practices (prefabs, asset naming, organized directory hierarchies, etc.)
  • A motivated self-starter willing to work proactively to address a variety of asset requests. Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must
