Senior 3D Artist / Generalist

As a 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for coming up with strong design solutions and then creating flawless and engaging 3D imagery. The right candidate will demonstrate a strong base of knowledge in digital content creation for software development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize models, textures, materials and custom shaders for props and environments in Unity
  • Rapidly prototype and block-out levels along with setting up proper lighting
  • Collaborate with other artists, engineers, producers, designers, and marketing talent in order to address a variety of asset requests
  • Provide constructive feedback and address best practices for seamless game performance

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Unity or Unreal with a track record of shipped games or products
  • Expert in Maya, ZBrush or Equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the graphics pipeline, including shader development using engine or 3rd party tools
  • Practical experience combining emerging lighting techniques (baked & realtime) reflections, post-processing to make scenes visually compelling
  • Ability to make good artistic judgments on form, color, composition
  • Be able to follow and adapt to stylistic guidelines set by the Art Director
  • Ability to create optimized 3D assets for animation
  • VFX using the particle system

One or more of these is a plus:

  • VR experience
  • Familiarity with character animation and tools for asset importing, rigging, animation blending, and rag-doll style physics
  • Familiar with versioning management systems (Perforce, Git, etc.) and game engine collaboration best-practices (prefabs, asset naming, organized directory hierarchies, etc.)
